About Me

I am a 21-year old student at the University of Oregon majoring in Accounting with a concentration in finance. I am also minoring in economics. I enjoy anything that allows me to get out in the outdoors and I especially love water sports (wakeboarding, surfing, etc.). Academically I enjoy both contructing and analyzing financial statements as well as studying valuation models used to price investment intruments. I will graduating in the spring of 2016 and what happens then I still very up in the air but that's the beauty of it!

Hometown: Sherwood, Oregon

I grew up in Sherwood, Oregon which is a small town (population: 18,000) located about 15 miles south of Portland. I actually really enjoyed growing up there besides the sometimes annoying small-town atmoshere where everyone knows everyone else's business. But I think that's a product of most small towns. Sherwood is right on the edge of suburbia and rural Oregon countryside so it was nice to be able to get to Portland or the mall with 30 minutes. But it was also just as nice to be able to get to the midddle of nowhere in 15 minutes.

The RIVER:

Having grown up miles from the Willamette River I've spent countless hours on the river either wakeboarding, scurfing, kayaking, or floating. Below is a video a friend of mine made with his drone last summer of the first trip out on the river.

‍Life Highlights:

Visiting Utah

September 2015  •  Travel

My girlfriend and I went to Utah this past summwe to see my dad and his fiance. The trip was an absolute blast from hiking around Zion National Park (including Angels Landing) to riding quads and side-by-sides to the various lookouts around the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. All in all just a great trip before coming back to school.

Superbowl XLVIII: HAWKS  WIN

Feburary 2014  •  Sports

I am undoubtly a Seahawk-lifer. My father has been instilling his love for the Seahawks in me since before I could walk and growing up there were many hard times as the hawks either struggled or were getting screwed out of Superbowls (SB XL). Yet, with the help of the greatest defense the NFL has seen since the 1985 Bears the Seahawks SMACKED the Broncos in Super Bowl 48, 43-8, and all was well in the world.

Choosing: University of Oregon

‍January 2012  •  Major Life Decision

Choosing the right college is one of the biggest decisions one will make in their lives. It's also probably the earliest big decision one faces during their life. I toured many different colleges, both public and private, before deciding on Oregon. My expirences here have been so positive and great that I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. Good deision!

Traveling to Belize

June/July 2008  •  Travel

I come from a very big family. Although I only have one sister both my parents have large families which means a lot of cousins and other relatives. When I was 14 my whole mother's side of the family took a family reunion vaction in Belize. We spent 7-days at a  jungle resort where we got to travel to Guatemala and see (even climb) the Tical ruins amoung other things. The second half of the trip was spend on the island of San Juan off the coast of Belize where the family just relaxed. This was really a perspective-changing trip for me as I was exposed to cultures I had no idea about. Those times will always be amoung my fondest memories.
